For The Children

For more than 15 years, WRAL-TV's Emmy award-winning For the Children campaign served as a voice within the local community for children and their families .  Through this initiative, WRAL-TV sought to increase the awareness and responsiveness of the general public to the needs of children particularly in the areas of health, fitness, safety, volunteerism, education and media literacy.   WRAL continues its For the Children community outreach effort with our annual Coats For the Children project which continues to raise money and winter clothing for Salvation Army families in need

As part of WRAL's ongoing commitment to provide quality children's programming to our young viewers, WRAL-TV also produces and airs Brain Game and Emmy award-winning Smart Start Kids.  Both are weekly children's programs offering educational and informational content and featuring children and teens from the WRAL viewing area.
